Did you know that sage can help you remove negative energy from your home and from your self?
The process of using white sage smoke for clearing negative energy is called smudging and it has been practiced across many cultures for thousands of years.
I have used it to cleanse a new home, to clear negative spaces in my student’s homes and especially to remove negative energy off myself after doing a lot of energy work.
White sage smudge sticks are easy to find these days online or at stores that carry incense.
To clear negative energy in your home, light the smudge stick so that it smokes but you cannot see the flame anymore. Take a moment to set an intention for your cleansing. Then, cleanse one room at a time by making sure that the smoke travels to the corner of each room, including the corners of closets, too. When you are finished, put the stick under running water to stop the smoke and then store your stick for future use.
To clear yourself, light the smudge stick so that it smokes but you cannot see the flame anymore. Take a moment to set an intention for your cleansing. Then, move the smudge stick around you from head to toe and side to side. You will instantly feel lighter!
You can also have a friend do this for you to make it easier. When you are finished, put the stick under running water to stop the smoke and then store your stick for future use.
