I was really excited this year when asked to share my knowledge of yoga and all things wellness at NY Fashion Week by my favorite organic hair & skin care brand SheaMoisture. They wanted me to share my on-the-go tips for destressing with busy fashion editors and bloggers.
I prepped all my tips from yoga, aromatherapy, reflexology, and more, but had no idea what to wear! Luckily, I reached out on my
Facebook page for fashion advice and got lots of great recommendations, including newer yoga brands like Beyond Yoga and Pheel that I could pair up with classic Lululemon.
I attended my first runway show with Project Runway alumni Korto Momolu. Her clothing was beautiful, sophisticated and fun.
Then, I sported my fun yoga outfit at the Lulu Style Suite. I met and advised hundreds of fashion industry experts on how to find zen at the office, while traveling and at home. I met a lot of wonderful people and had a very fun time.
I would have never expected to find myself teaching the art of yoga in that environment, but it worked. Yoga can benefit everyone and anyone.
