Yoga on the Green Recap

Yoga on the Green 2014

Last Sunday was the 2nd Annual Yoga on the Green. Over 120 yogis joined us for an all level class on the beautiful green lawn of the JCC in Tenafly. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day or a more friendly and excited group of people.

Yogis of all ages took part in the event and everyone had a great time, especially during our partner yoga break. I was really excited to meet fans from Facebook and Twitter, make new friends, and see old friends. To make it even more special, both my mom and sister were there, too!

The first 100 yogis that arrived received goodie bags from SheaMoisture with a full-size body oil and body scrub, plus a full-size bottle of essential lavender oil from Now Foods and a chemical-free sample of TrueNatural’s sunscreen. In addition to the 50 mats given away to the first 25 RSVPs to the event, Athleta also provided complimentary water bottles, headbands and hair ties. A few of our yogis were also randomly selected by Lululemon Athletica to test out and keep shirts and shorts from their latest collection.

Many of the yogis entered to win the event’s grand prize by taking a picture of themselves wearing my “Kick Asana” buttons and posting them to my Brenda Blanco Yoga page. Then one winner was randomly selected to receive a private yoga session with me, one month of unlimited yoga at local One Love Hot Yoga Westwood and a yoga mat and bag from SheaMoisture.

It was a hot and sunny afternoon so we were also grateful to have complimentary alkaline water from local partner, Alkazone.

Hope to see you there next year!

Namaste,
Brenda
